controverter - social controversy machine
The controverter is a socially mechanistic organism that creates controversy in a normally benign space. The images revealed by individual controverters are benign until paired with a socially responsive image displayed by the sibling controverter. The opposing imagery creates socially charged conversation by the casual passerby. The controverters are hand made despite their "high-low tech" design, additionally resisting the urge to use current technologies such as computer screens to generate controversion.
